All Stars and Post Season Play

    Capitol Little has two opportunites for All Star selection.

    • Tournament of Champions is a District level team.  Teams play ONLY in the TOC tournament and don't advance to State Tournament.  The time obligation is the practice time before the tournament begins and the week or so of the tournament.
    • District Teams have the opportunity to advance to State Tournament and move on.  The time obligation is the practice time before the District tournament begins and the tournament/s.

     How are players selected for District All Stars (TOC and District teams)?

    • Managers are selected for the post season teams by May 10.
    • Players in each of the Minor, Major and Intermediate divisions will be asked to nominate their team mates for all star consideration by May 15. 
    • Players can also be nominated by coaches and managers for post season play in  All-stars and District Tournament of Champions and District teams by May 15. 
    • Managers can select the teams for post season play prior to June 1 but the team may not be announced before that time.
    • TOC teams may be either a full regular season team or can be players from several teams and/or divisions. Players must meet meet the age requirements for the TOC division. Players on waivers must play on TOC teams. The league may be represented by more than one TOC team in an age division. 
    • District teams are usually "all star" players selected from several teams in the age division.  Players on waiver can not play on District teams. 
    • Minimum roster for TOC and District teams is 12 players and Maximum roster is 14. 

    Who is eligible to play on All Star teams?

    All Minors, Majors and Intermediate players between league age 8 and 13 are eligible for post season play. AA players who were evaluated prior to Spring Season are also available for considersation to TOC. 

    • District JR (U14) team MUST be players who played 60% of their regular season games in JR or Majors. 
    • District 10-11-12 team MUST be players who played 60% of their games as Majors. 
    • District 8-9-10 & 9-10-11 players MUST have played 60% of their games in Majors or  Minors. 
    • TOC players of all ages must also have played 60% of their scheduled games in their division. 

    Are there other requirements for TOC and District play?

    To participate in TOC and District tournaments, players will need a certified or orginal copy of their birth certificate, 3 proof of residency documents dated between FEB 1, 2017 and FEB 1, 2018 or a school enrollment form signed by the principal of their school. 

    When applying please have these documents secured as the time frame to produce and submit them is very short. 

    Is there an additional cost to play in All Stars and District Post Season?

    Yes, fees will be charged based on cost of uniforms for these teams as the regular season jerseys and hats can not be used. There may be scholarships available for post season play. 

    When does District  post season play start?
