For Spring 2018 Baseball:

RETURNING 2017 PLAYERS

Capitol Little League players STAYING in their 2017 division will return to the same team UNLESS:

  • The Player requests reassignment—on registration form; OR
  • Based on league age or player evaluation, the player is not able to continue on the previous team.

In these cases, the player will enter the draft and player requests for placement will be considered and honored when possible.

2017 Spring Capitol Little League Managers and Players MOVING UP TO:

  • Major's (U12) division may retain 8 players including the manager's and assistant coach’s children.
  • Any division, except Majors, may retain all players IF players qualify by age and evaluation for the division.
  • IF after evaluation, a player is determined NOT ready to move up with his 2017 team, the player will enter the draft and player requests for placement will be considered and honored when possible.

IF returning players DO not want to be with same manager or team, they should include that information on their registration.  See FAQs on player placement.

ALL MAJORS, MINORS AND U14 PLAYERS MUST HAVE A PLAYER EVALUATION EVEN IF RETURNING TO SAME TEAM.

Teams from other baseball organizations

Capitol Little League will allow an outside team to enter any of our divisions.

However, only 8 players including those of the manager and assistant coaches may be placed on any one (1) Capitol Little League team in Majors and Minors.  Entire teams may be placed in AA division and below.

New players

Players new to Capitol Little League will enter the draft in the division they requested based on age and player evaluation (if League Age 8 or above).  Players in T-ball and AA Machine pitch divisions will be placed on teams based on parent request for friends or school or coach.

Little League Bat rules

Bat rules have changed for all divisions of Little League.  We will be getting stickers for T-Ball bats that still meet Little League bat requirements.  All other divivisions will be using bats with 2 5/8" barrels from the Approved Bat List see this link to check bat information.
