The will be limited by size and we will try to have family groups go at same time.
IF you can't make this event, there will be opportunity to schedule appointments directly with Spin Tees after March 20.

Player placement/draft--March 20 (location TBD) IN PERSON
ONLY ONE team representative per team may attend the placement/draft to comply with Covid19 Guidelines.
There will be a safety and rules review at each session.
Managers will receive first aid kits, practice balls, team notebooks and other team equipment as needed.

Field work party March 27  10 AM to 3 PM
We will need to trim up the infield grass edges, bring in some infield mix for the base paths, put up the batting cage nets, get the fields ready for practices/games.    We will try to keep smaller groups on fields but we do have eight (8) fields to get ready.

Practice schedules will be out before March 27-- Practices can start Sunday March 28.
Some weeknight practices may be at Olympia School District fields IF the team manager requests those fields.
We have asked for use of one of the Griffin Fields for weeknight practices but have not heard back.
Weekend practices are at our fields.

Game schedules will be out shortly after that; currently we are planning to play games in Minor, Major and Jr divisions with and at--Chehalis, Centralia, Elma, Montesano, Tenino and Rochester- some games will be here in our complex and some away.  Chehalis Basin (Oakville) AA and T-Ball teams plan to play at our fields.  ALL these teams are in our same Covid19 Region and our Little League District 3.
There are NO Sunday games except for Challenger team; however, there will be Saturday games in all divisions and weeknight games in most.

Challenger Games will start May 2 and end June 27.
District All star tournaments will start June 19 or 26--I will have a complete list on the website soon.

Updated Covid19 guidelines have been posted to the Website.
Please note players will have a temperature and symptom check before each practice/game AND before their player evaluation.
ALL players, coaches, volunteers and spectators will be required to wear a face covering while at the fields or participating in a league event.
Players will need their own equipment --but we have loaner equipment--batting helmets/bats as well as equipment bank for shoes/gloves.
Total of persons at any ONE field is limited to 75 including players, volunteers and spectators.  Persons sitting in their vehicles behind the outfield fences do NOT count to field limitations.

Dick's Sporting Goods Shopping Weekend March 26-29th

Dick's Sporting Good is offering a special weekend for Capitol Little League players--you will receive 20% off entire purchase during the weekend.
Some things to keep in mind when purchasing equipment--BATS must be USA stamped--OR BBCOR for JR division only--there is a link to Little League website on our website where you can check bat requirements.
T-ball and AA use a TBALL bat since they use a safety baseball.
IF you purchase a batting helmet DO NOT attach stickers or write on the plastic shell--you can write on the foam lining.
I will be sending an email closer to the shop dates with a link to the special coupon for Capitol Little League.

Background check for ALL Volunteers
Little League requires all adult volunteers to have a back ground check every year.   They provide background checks via JDP an online services.  I will be sending all currently signed up volunteers in to JDP this week.  You will get an email from Capitol Little League with a link to the JDP site to complete the background check.  This does NOT impact credit checks or other similar programs.
