Rain off and on this week--notifications

As we work thru this last week of games, we are struggling with the fall rains which impacts our games--most rainouts won't be rescheduled because we don't have time or fields available.

We will try to make the "call"  on games as early as possible usually before 4 PM--earlier IF teams have to travel; but some umpired games may go to a game time decision IF we think there is a chance we can get the game played.

It looks like we will need to monitor games tomorrow (WED) and Thursday; it appears Friday and Saturday will be clear--no rain.

Our notification process (stated previously and here again) is:
1.  Umpires
2.  Team Managers who notify team parents via Game Changer or other team chats/messaging.
3.   Post to Facebook.
4.   Post to Website if time and Wi-Fi connection allow--from fields often the Wi-Fi upload doesn't happen right away.

In addition, IF the games are on non-Capitol Little League fields, we connect the two team managers and the field coordinator for the other fields so they can communicate quickly on field and weather conditions.  Team managers then notify team parents.

We will post to Facebook first as we can usually get a post updated quickly even from the fields.

We will post to Website after  updating  Facebook because sometimes  we can't get a good Wi-Fi connection from the fields and there can be a substantial delay in the information showing on the website.

We  have over 50 Capitol Little League teams playing as well as at least 20 other teams from other areas, so the primary communication has to in the above order so we can get the word out to as many as possible quickly.
