UMPIRES ARE USED FOR MINOR, MAJOR IINTERMEDIATE, AND JR DIVISION GAMES AND GIRLS SOFTBALL.
GAME LENGTH FOR 2026 SEASON WILL BE no new inning after 1 HR AND 45 MINUTES FOR SINGLE GAMES for Minor/Major Games; no new inning after 2 HRs for intermediate, JR & SR games
BACKGROUND CHECKS--
Little League International requires a background check for all volunteers. Little League has contracted background checks JDP. Once you apply online, we send JDP your email information and they contact you directly for SSN and other needed information.
Little League International also requires completion of the Abuse Awareness Course each year. The link to the training site is https://www.littleleague.org/university/articles/abuse-awareness-training-course/
We urge umpires to sign up in the Little League International Umpire Registry https://www.littleleague.org/university/umpires/
IF registered with the Umpire Registry we do not need to run a separate league background check.

This is a free clinic open to prospective and current umpires.
Minimum age is 11 for JR umpires. This is coed!

The Western Regional Little League is offering in person-one week umpire training in San Bernadino--dates have NOT been announced
