IN AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION We are cancelling ALL practices at ALL locations this afternoon
Tumwater SD has cancelled ALL out door activities for this afternoon.
From the Thurston County Emergency Services:
There is a risk of thunderstorms starting between 4-5pm this evening. The storm is expected to depart between 7-8pm.
Take precautions now to make sure that you are prepared!
■ The risk for a tornado is 5-9% for some areas of Lewis, Thurston, and Pierce counties.
■ There is a chance of 2”+ diameter (golf ball size hail).
■ Wind gusts up to 58mph.
Stay safe! You should only call 911 when you or someone you are with is experiencing an emergency and needs help from fire, police, or ambulance.
NOTE: I DON'T usually make this call and let coaches make their own decisions, however I was standing in the middle of our complex with ONLY my husband and an umpire Jerry Schoonover on May 4, 2017 when the microburst crashed overhead. I won't take that risk with our players, coaches and parents.
