Status
For now schools in our area are staying open and we are proceeding with our season plans with some modifications.

I am in communication with the other leagues in our district and we are all monitoring the situation.  Little League International has advised us to keep them advised as well.

We will all continue to monitor the situation and respond accordingly. 

The porta potties do have hand sanitizer (at least they start the week with it).  I am checking on the ability to get some sort of hand washing station rented for the main complex. 

We don't have the ability to have restrooms at the fields because we lease them from the Port of Olympia.  Under terms of our lease we can't have permanent structures on the fields.  When we move from the current complex everything on the property has to be removed per terms of lease.  Frankly I don't know how we managed to get water and irrigation system in (long before my time).

Opening Day Ceremonies

We will not be holding our traditional Opening Day Ceremonies on Saturday April 18.  We have over 650 players plus associated parents and families so that size crowd is not prudent to gather in one place.  

We do plan to start games on April 13 for Minors, Majors and JR division.  Games tend to have fewer than 70 folks per field and we are outdoors.

Rest of teams will start games on Saturday April 18 with first games at 9 AM. Schedules are being developed and I expect to have them out in about 10 days.   We are looking at first Challenger game in AM that day as well.

Practices

Olympia School District and Griffin School District have cancelled field use permits for their school fields.  Griffin School District has indicated they will allow field use April 1 and on.  I don't have a resume date for Olympia School District fields.

I am working with team managers to move practices to our fields with teams sharing fields on weeknights and maybe on Saturday/Sunday. 

We should have a reworked practice schedule by tomorrow and I will publish it via an email blast.  

I am sorry that I can't respond to parent emails about specific teams practices as I am trying to get practice revisions accomplished with team managers. Contact your team manager for information on your practice.
